For heavy dirt and spot stains, a mild cleaning agent, but take care not to use too much fluid as it softens the wicker making it lose its shape. Textiles

Fabrics and textiles are potentially the shortest-lived part of any furniture, but a little care can preserve your investment for much longer than you'd think.

Sunbrella

Sunbrella fabrics are engineered to combine the highest possible durability and cutting-edge design.

Care - Remove the covers, brushing off any loose dirt and spraying on a solution of water and mild soap. Use a soft bristle brush to clean the fabric and allow the cleaning solution to soak in. Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed and air dry.

Leather

Leather is largely a low-maintenance material that is both comfortable and breathable.

Care - Avoid placing leather furniture near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Dusting periodically with a soft dry cloth is generally enough. The biggest danger to leather is generally oily stains, so immediately remove any excess liquid by dabbing with an absorbent paper towel. Then gentle wiping the stain from the outside towards the centre using a clean cloth damp with a neautral soapy solution, then dry gently using a clean cloth. Don't press too hard, as this can pressure the stain deeper into the leather.

Synthetic Fibres and Weaves

High quality synthetic fibres and weaves are generally water-repellent, UV-resistant and colourfast, making them a low-maintenance outdoor material.

Care - Dirt can build up inside the weave and create a base for algae and mould, so you should still regularly clean your synthetic outdoor setting fabrics with soap and water. First use a soft brush to clean and then rinse off the soap with cold water. Bring your cushions inside when not in use to prolong their life.
