Set against one of Sydney’s most recognisable coastal backdrops, Rick Stein at Coogee Beach brings the chef’s celebrated approach to seafood into a relaxed Australian setting. Mamagreen collaborated with Rick Stein at Coogee Beach, Salter Brothers Hospitality and Studioaria to furnish the restaurant’s outdoor areas, creating spaces that feel polished yet naturally connected to the ocean. The result complements the venue’s fresh, unfussy dining philosophy while showing how premium outdoor furniture can shape a memorable hospitality experience.

A coastal palette shaped by Coogee

The visual palette draws directly from its beachside setting. Cobalt and deep navy upholstery echo the restaurant’s graphic blue identity and the water beyond, while crisp white frames, pale stone flooring and soft neutral cushions keep the terrace bright and open. Ohana Dining Chairs, finished with expressive handwoven rope, introduce texture around the expansive Big Daddy Dining Table, whose warm recycled-teak surface anchors group dining. Smaller Glyph Tables support more intimate settings, while Albatross Dining Chairs pair navy cushions, white webbing and smooth teak armrests for a crisp nautical character. In quieter corners, green glazed tiles, charcoal upholstery and layered planting add depth to the wider coastal scheme.

Materials made for seaside hospitality

Beyond their visual impact, the selected Mamagreen collections were chosen for the demands of a busy seaside restaurant. Ohana’s all-weather rope is designed to resist fading and withstand sun, rain and salt air, while Glyph combines bases made from upcycled teak cut-offs with streamlined powder-coated aluminium tops. The three-metre Big Daddy Table uses certified recycled teak with a brushed finish, providing generous proportions and long-term outdoor performance. Albatross Dining Chairs add marine-grade 316 stainless steel frames, durable webbing, premium teak armrests and comfortable outdoor cushions - materials especially suited to coastal hospitality environments where strength, comfort and easy maintenance are essential.
